Although Pastor Robertson was born in Tennessee, he has lived in the West and Upper Midwest most of his life. When the Lord directed him to a church in Wisconsin, he adapted his hunting pursuits to find the illusive whitetails.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Robertson serves as a chaplain in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. On January 14,2010 he returned from serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 3,200 members of the 32nd Brigade out of Wisconsin. He served as a battalion chaplain for the 850 members of the 2-127th Infantry Battalion. His duties included one-on-one counseling, conducting religious services, functioning as a staff officer, and providing a ministry of presence to soldiers. Opportunities for sharing the gospel and encouraging people in their spiritual needs were a daily occurrence. Praise God for this opportunity to expand the ministry of Faith Baptist Church around the world. On May 2, 2010 he resumed his full-time responsibility of serving as senior pastor at Faith Baptist Church. He continues to serve as a battalion chaplain with the 132 Brigade Support Battalion that is headquartered in Portage, WI.
Assistant Pastor
Pastor
Daniel Gaschke’s ultimate desire is to bring glory to God by knowing him better
and helping others to know him. The goal of his preaching and teaching is to
systematically explain God’s Word as accurately and clearly as possible,
applying it to our everyday lives. Along with his wife Emilie, Pastor Daniel
also enjoys serving God through a ministry of music, singing and playing the
saxophone.
Pastor
Daniel was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. For his undergraduate
training he attended Bob
Jones University, in Greenville, SC, where he completed his Bachelor
of Arts degree. After marrying Emilie in July of 2004, they moved to South
Carolina where Daniel could continue attending Bob Jones University to begin his
seminary
training, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in pastoral studies. While in
graduate school, Daniel and Emilie served in a variety of ministries at Kennerly Road
Baptist Church near Columbia, South Carolina.
Pastor
Robertson met Daniel and Emilie while attending Chaplain Officer Basic
Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Through the Lord's leading Pastor
Robertson attended Kennerly Road Baptist where he first met the Gaschkes. After
several discussions, Daniel and Emilie accepted the invitation to travel
to Wisconsin to look at the ministry in Portage. Faith Baptist later voted to
call Pastor Daniel to the position of Assistant Pastor with the intent of
having him serve as interim pastor during the military deployment of Pastor
Robertson. The Gaschkes moved to Portage in December 2008 and are enjoying living
back in Wisconsin.
Beginning in
January 2009, Pastor Daniel served as interim senior pastor for 16 months during
Pastor Robertson’s military deployment and reintegration. With Pastor Robertson
now back in Wisconsin, Pastor Daniel currently assists in various ministries at
Faith Baptist Church as needed.
